Choosing your Wedding Flowers

The pricing of flowers is worked out on an individual basis dependent on the type of flowers and the design you require, e.g. a shower bouquet will be more expensive than a handtied bouquet, an adult bridesmaid's bouquet will be more expensive than a child's bouquet. Also at certain times of the year Easter, around the time of Mother's Day and Christmas in particular, flowers are generally more expensive.

Bridal Bouquets

Bridal Bouquets can be designed as a handtied bouquet, a formal shower bouquet, an over the arm bouquet or a less formal handtied bouquet. I am happy to discuss any designs with you.

When deciding upon a bouquet you should consider the style and type of dress you are having, your flowers should complement you and your dress, not over power them. Also don't be afraid to think about colours you like, you don't have to have white or cream flowers!

Bridesmaids Flowers

Adult bridesmaids bouquets can be designed as a handtied, small shower bouquet, over the arm bouquet or a wrist corsage.

For the child bridesmaid a small hoop or wand can be designed or a single flower is sometimes preferred.

Ladies Flowers

Ladies flowers can be anything form a single flower with decoration to a formal corsage containing two or more flowers, or a wrist corsage. Ladies flowers normally include decorative wire and either crystal or pearl beads. Small feathers can be included in the design.

Mens Flowers

Usually a single flower buttonhole is the choice for most men. Quite often the groom, bestman and groomsmen will choose a colour of flower that matches or contrasts with a waistcoat or cravat if formal morning dress is being worn.

Reception Flowers

Table decorations for the top table and individual tables are available in many styles, usually the top table design is a long and low design placed in the centre of the top table, this style is chosen so that guests can still see the bridal party over the top of the flowers. For individual tables the designs can be either small centre flowers or tall designs that guests can see through or around.

A charge is made for the hire of vases from Blumen Delightful this charge also includes a fee for loss and breakages, you can provide your own glassware or table centre holders.
